Gushi County held the castor cultivation technical training of Ming Yang biomass energy project

On April 15 afternoon, Gushi County held the castor plant technical training of Ming Yang biomass energy project, specially invited professor Fu Fuqin of oilseed research institution of Chinese Agricultural Science Academy to give instructions, Peng Renqun of Gushi County NPC vice director is present at the training, principals of Agricultural Bureau and energy project office, technicians of Agricultural Bureau and planting farmers attended this training.

On the training, professor Fu Fuqin make a detailed introduction of the castor’s economic benefits and castor oil’s application and significance, and carried out the professional and systematical explanation and training of the castor’s cultivation techniques on the soil preparation, seeding, fertilization and so on.

The manager of Gushi county Agricultural Bureau give further guidance and specification combined with the local cultivation conditions including soil moisture content, climate etc. The project manager of Ming Yang biomass energy introduced the general situation and background of the biomass energy project.

Peng Renqun addressed that Ming Yang biomass energy project is a big project for enriching people and strengthening county, put Gushi as the headquarter, construct the green new energy industrial base and R&D base covered Hubei Province, Henan Province and Anhui Province, fulfill the whole industrial chain from plant to deep processing to logistics, it will drive the farmers’ employment around the Gushi to make them rich and development. To ensure the high yield and high quality crops, realize the good plants benefit, set an good example and leading role, make “the little castor to become a big industry”, put across the castor cultivation tasks and lay a solid foundation to castor planting in a large area on the next year, the pilots sites selected at the first batch must realize the intensive cultivation and fining management.
